Not even 2 years since my fridge was delivered to me in Jan 2021. Having problems with it. LG service gave me a couple of companies I can go through and which I did. Not able to solve the problem yet. They change out the fan and still the same problem. the top fridge wont get cold and dispense ice or water bottom freezer gets cold.

Internal water filter problem

I contacted you folks regarding the fact that my water filter on the refrigerator needed replacing and the one I purchased that was SUPPOSED to work does not fit. it wont turn and lock I tried a couple of these and finally called your rep. After about 2 hours of back and forth he pointed out that the filter I purchased the code ended in 6 while the one in his book said it was supposed to end in 1. These filters look identical in EVERY WAY except that the replacement will not lock into the seat. I have since had to add an exterior water filter to filter my water. You asked.

Well designed and good layout for the most part. Unfortunately the compressor died fairly early into the life of this appliance. But LG customer service was GREAT... arranged quick replacement and the fridge is up and running again The only other issue is the drawer in the freezer... It doesnt have wheels and thus is clunky as it doesnt glide well at all.

Ive had it for 2+ years. I have to say in terms of cooling and functionally its good but in terms of quality of materials not the best. The plastic drawers crack easily the freezer drawer is not very sturdy and made with thin plastic. Overall this would be a better product if the materials of the drawers and shelving were better quality.

I bought this refrigerator a little over 2 years ago and did not expect to have the trouble that I have had with it. I am 2 tech visits in and the issue is not yet resolved. My unit is currently unplugged and I am hoping that when I plug it in again the refrigerator will work. I lost an entire refrigerator full of food. Although LG offered me some compensation which I appreciate it will not replace all of the food that I lost.

Weve had this fridge for almost 5 years. Its got great space I like the layout I like the door in door feature. There were a few things I didnt like the fact that we could only put taller items on the bottom shelf and the top drawer in the freezer is flimsy. The compressor on the fridge went out after 3 years. We got an LG repairman to come out and he brought a replacement for a 2018 LG which is what we have. Turns out LG tests out new compressor models and doesnt disclose that to customers. We were given one of these tester compressors and of course it didnt last. Got it replaced and now a year later its out again and I have to buy a new fridge.

Cant fix the bottom ice maker

I have had this fridge for several years now and thankfully I spent the extra money on the extended service plan. A technician has come to my house four times now to fix the leaking ice maker yet it still doesnt work correctly. The first problem was the fill spout for the bottom ice maker would freeze up and instead of filling the ice tray it sprays out the back of the fridge onto the kitchen wall. Roughly 10oz of water sprays out of the back of the fridge every 5 hours until I shut the ice maker off. That means if the fill spout freezes/clogs while Im asleep at work or away for the weekend I will come to the kitchen to find a nice puddle on the floor. On the techs third trip to my house he learned the clog and leak was caused by a poorly designed intake spout for the ice maker and LG had issued a bulletin with a new replacement part to fix the issue. On the fourth trip to my house the tech installed the new spout. The new spout did fix the ice clogging issue but it also created a new one. The new spout fails to direct all the water into the ice tray and by the time its gone through enough cycles to fill the ice bucket there is a layer of ice frozen spray about 1/8+ on everything in the top drawer of the freezer. My well pump is set to a 35-40psi operating range which is very appropriate for home water pressure as confirmed by the technician. I now have turned to ice maker off probably permanently and will enjoy the extra space in the top drawer. My bottom line is most features of the fridge are excellent but the ice maker is absolute garbage making this an okay/average fridge overall.

Had trouble with this unit since we purchased it Worst part is no one works in then. This past time we were without a refrigerator for 3 week. I want all the management at LG to live in their households with children without a refrigerator for 3 weeks. Live out of an ice chest. Yeah so t think that will happen. I will never buy another LG product because of the service or lack there of.

Very disappointed I didnt buy the extended warranty. I had no idea that I would need to replace my refrigerator in 15 months. I learned today that LG had a recall because of their compressor. Had I known I would not risk the purchase. And only qualified LG techs can diagnose and repair. I went through three appointments before I figure it out.

Bought it 10 months ago. Works very good like the glass door that makes easy to see what you want before opening the fridge this saves energy. Had a minor problem with a fan was fixed fast and easy by the warranty.

I have had this a couple of months and am completely thrilled with my decision to get this one I love the easy acces door for things I use often. Having ice in the door and in the bottom drawer has turned out to be so useful when company is over..The French doors give me the wide shelves which easily hold a large sheet cake or full pan of lasagna The fruit/vegie drawers operate smooth and the flat deli drawer makes it easy to find cheeses/lunch meats etc and of course it looks awesome

I bought this in May and it quit 2 weeks ago. The LG service repair man came and replaced the back control board and that did no good. Now they have a new door coming and front control panel coming. I had to throw out $300.00 worth of food and buy 4 coolers and that is what we have been living out of for the last 3 weeks.

The whole family loves this fridge We have had it since December 2019 and it has yet to disappoint. We love the front tap light and beverage door makes grabbing a cold drink a breeze in our busy house. The dual ice makers are also amazing Leaving ice for cold drinks in the door and a bin in the freezer to fill up our ice chest on the way to the lake. We bought this 1.5 years ago and its working great. Unlike our older LG refrigerators ice maker this one is working perfectly so far. Likes: Glass see through door second ice maker lunch meat drawer indoor ice/water dispenser and the openness. Dislikes: Too hard to adjust the shelving to accommodate the different size products and the price of the maintenance material ie: water/air filters to keep it running in tip top shape.

Ive owed the refrigerator for almost 3years. Be sure to have a thermostat inside your fridge. I have my desired temp set to 37degrees and my refrigerator temp is around 34-36degrees. Unfortunately the compressor went out and we lost all our food. They are supposed to last 7-10 years and it didnt even make it 3. Thankfully the refrigerator was under warranty and the customer service was great. Overall Ive been pleased with the refrigerator and the service LG had provided.

Within 1 year my ice maker in the door has stopped functioning on top of constant ice build up getting warranty service has been extremely slow paced at best still havent received service. Youd think paying a premium price for LG would get you a solid product and good service..wrong so far.

I wanted to replace an old Amana that vame with the house as it had no water or ice dispenser and was just old. Researched and found a certain Korean brand to stay away from in this category. I have an LG washer for last 3 yrs that works great and Costco had this for a great price. The see theu door is great but would be nice if instead of a black finish they use the same steel look as the display panel on the other door. That way things inside are really not visible when light is off. Love the concept of partial door opening to get things in the door that way the fridge doesnt lose the chill. The compact ivemaker is the right size and the additional icemaker can be utilized for a larger need as it arises. The water filter is conveniently placed inside the refrigerator instead of under or some weird location. The filter has aftermarket replacement too so as not to shell out big money every six months. The Freezer is spacious for stuff that needs to stay cold. The temp settings for both sections helps one know the actual temps instead if a graded 1-7 scale. Freezer can be at 0 to 4F and fridge at 33 to 43F. Of the gripes the water dispenser doesnt hold a lot of water so if you want to fill a jug for the dinner table you should fill it and chill it. The dispenser is good for an odd glass of water. There is no tray to catch any dripping water. The trays for vegetables and fruit are less deeper than my old fridge. Also they can be opened by gripping at the bottom not top. I think that gives less chances of physical damage to the container and its tracks. Energystar rated so hopefully consumes less power. The gentle beeping if any door is open is a good thing. My old fridge was left open ever so gently without anyone realizing it till the next trip to the appliance.

I purchased this refrigerator with a package of other LG appliances for my kitchen remodel. Sadly 14 months after purchase the fan has gone. No longer covered under warrenty with manufacturer but fortunately I purchased extended warranty. Took 8 days to get a tech out who told me what I had figured out and sent for parts. It will likely be another 10 days before its fixed.

I replaced my 35 yr old refrig/freezer because it was ugly and dated but worked fine. My new LG refrig/freeezer is very nice and has great features. However the compressor went out after 3-1/2 years. It was replaced under warranty but I am not impressed with LG and probably will never buy an LG product again.
